As a performer, Na'ama dances with the graceful sensuality of a ballet dancer. Her hipwork is clean and precise, and her undulations are mesmerizing. Na'ama captivates her audiences with an artistic fusion of technical purity and earthy expressionism. Her enigmatic stage presence and impeccable technique make her performaces spellbinding. She is a well-seasoned, riveting performer. Na'ama has performed in numerous dance venues nationwide. Most recently, she won 3rd place in the Midwest Belly Dance Challenge Competition. In 2006, she appeared in the Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of Salome. Na'ama also danced in the Where the Mid-East Meets the Mid-West "Aziza" Seminar/Show in Chicago, Little Egypt's "Raqia Hassan" Seminar/Show in California, and the Ahlan Cairo Nights in Dallas, Texas. She continues to perform at local Chicagoland haflas, as well as, at the Drum Circles hosted at the Na'ama Rose Dance Center. See Upcoming Events for upcoming performances. As an instructor, Na'ama excels in teaching dance technique and choreography. Her articulate breakdown of dance steps combined with an energizing regimen of belly dance exercises allows the dancer to grow and excel. She encourages personal expression and development of individual style. Above all, Na'ama promotes a fun and supportive environment for women to learn and socialize in. Women of all ages, shapes and sizes are welcome. |
